Kynver provides a trust framework for AI agents — the Verification Standard and the infrastructure to make it meaningful. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website, directory, verification flow, and related services. By using Kynver, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Acceptance and scope
By creating an account, signing in, registering an agent, or otherwise using Kynver, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are using Kynver on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. These terms apply to all use of the kynver.com website and related services we provide (the "Service").
2. Description of the service
Kynver operates a public trust framework for AI agents. We publish the Kynver Verification Standard — five pillars covering identity and ownership, transparency, behavioral safety, data and privacy, and operational reliability — and provide infrastructure that lets developers register agents, prove ownership, and (where applicable) apply for the Verified badge. We also provide a public directory and agent profiles so users can discover and evaluate agents. Our product is trust: we do not build or operate the AI agents listed on Kynver; we provide the standard and tools to make agent behavior and accountability verifiable.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Service or others.
4. Agent registration and the Verification Standard
When you register an agent on Kynver, you agree to:
- Ownership verification: Complete the technical ownership challenge (Pillar 1 of the Verification Standard) so that each listed agent is under your control. You may not list agents you do not own or control.
- Accurate disclosure: Provide accurate descriptions of capabilities, limitations, data practices, and other information required by the Standard (Pillar 2 — Transparency). You must keep this information current. Material misrepresentation is grounds for removal and may result in suspension of your account.
- Behavioral and data compliance: Operate your agent in line with the Verification Standard, including behavioral safety (Pillar 3), data and privacy (Pillar 4), and operational reliability (Pillar 5). Agents that violate the Standard may be removed from the directory and your verification status may be revoked.
- Re-verification and updates: Comply with re-verification, re-attestation, and update obligations set out in the Standard. The Verified badge (where applicable) reflects current compliance, not a one-time approval.
By listing an agent, you represent that you have the right to do so and that the information you provide is truthful and complete. We may remove or hide agents, or revoke verification status, if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or the Standard.
5. Continuous compliance and behavioral monitoring (developers)
Kynver Verified status is maintained through continuous monitoring, not just at the time of application. If you hold or apply for the Verified badge, you agree to the following obligations in addition to those in Section 4.
The Kynver SDK and behavioral receipts
As a condition of the Verified badge, you must install the Kynver SDK into your agent. The SDK sends a behavioral receipt to Kynver after each task your agent completes. You agree to keep the SDK installed and operational as long as your agent holds Verified status. Removing the SDK or blocking receipt transmission without notice is treated as a compliance failure.
The SDK is designed to protect your users' privacy. It sends only structural metadata — category, action types, duration, authorization status — and never the content of any instruction, output, or user data. Content is converted to a one-way cryptographic fingerprint on your system before anything is transmitted. For more detail on exactly what is and is not transmitted, see our Privacy Policy (Section 6).
Encrypted receipt payloads
As part of the SDK's integrity mechanism, certain fields within the behavioral receipt — specifically the action types and behavioral metadata — are encrypted using Kynver's public key before transmission. This means the encrypted portion of the receipt is not readable by you after it is generated by the SDK. This is intentional: it ensures that the action type record cannot be altered in transit and that the behavioral data reaches Kynver in its original form. You agree to this mechanism as a condition of using the SDK. The existence of this encryption is disclosed here; the specific implementation details are not published to prevent circumvention. The underlying data categories that are encrypted are the same categories described in our Privacy Policy (Section 6) — the encryption changes how the data travels, not what data is captured.
Authorization capture for high-stakes actions
The Verification Standard (Pillar 3.3) requires explicit user authorization before any irreversible action — payments, sending communications on a user's behalf, deleting or exporting data, deploying code to production. As a condition of the Verified badge, you must use the Kynver SDK's authorization capture mechanism before performing these actions, so that user consent is cryptographically recorded. An agent that performs high-stakes actions without captured authorization will be flagged automatically and its badge suspended on repeated violations.
When anomalies are detected
Kynver's automated monitoring checks every behavioral receipt against your agent's declared profile. When an anomaly is found:
- Low or medium severity: You will receive an in-app notification and, for medium findings, an email. You are expected to review the finding and, where it reflects a legitimate change to your agent, update your declared profile within 7 days (per Pillar 5.4 of the Standard).
- High severity: You will receive an immediate email notification and your agent's profile will carry a warning indicator until the issue is resolved. Your badge may be suspended if the issue is not addressed within the response window.
- Critical findings: Certain findings trigger automatic badge suspension without waiting for human review — for example, data export actions from an agent not declared to handle data export, financial transactions without user authorization records, or the agent's cryptographic identity becoming invalid. You will be notified immediately and will have a fixed window to respond before the suspension is reviewed by the Kynver team. We will complete human review within 24 hours.
Suspension is not revocation. If the finding reflects a false positive or a legitimate update you made without notifying Kynver, we will reinstate promptly. If it reflects a genuine compliance failure, the revocation process in our Verification Standard applies.
Incident reporting
You agree to report confirmed safety incidents (including agent compromise, unauthorized data access, or any confirmed violation of the Standard's prohibited behaviors) to Kynver within 48 hours of discovery, in line with Pillar 5.3 of the Verification Standard. Concealing a known incident is grounds for immediate revocation.
Your users' anonymous tokens
When your users interact with your agent, Kynver assigns each user an anonymous token — a random ID with no connection to their name, email, or personal information. You may optionally store this token in your own database to cross-reference if a dispute arises. You agree to handle this token in line with Pillar 4 (Data & Privacy) of the Verification Standard and applicable data protection law. You must not attempt to reverse-engineer or augment this token with personal data in any way that would allow Kynver's anonymous tracking to become personally identifiable.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation or the nature of an agent (e.g. claiming an agent is human when it is not).
- Bypass or attempt to bypass Kynver's identity or ownership verification mechanisms.
- Use the Service to harass, abuse, defame, or harm others, or to distribute malware, spam, or phishing content.
- Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the Service in a way that exceeds reasonable use or that we have not authorized.
- Interfere with the integrity or availability of the Service or the data of other users.
We reserve the right to enforce these rules and the Verification Standard. Prohibited behavior may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and removal of your agents.
7. Intellectual property
Kynver and its content (including the Verification Standard, site design, logos, and documentation) are owned by Kynver or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of our content except as necessary to use the Service in the ordinary way. You retain ownership of the content and agents you submit; by submitting them, you grant us a license to use, store, and display that content in connection with operating the Service (e.g. showing agent profiles in the directory, running verification flows).
8. Disclaimers
The Service and the Verification Standard are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Kynver provides a trust framework and directory; we do not operate, endorse, or guarantee the behavior of third-party agents listed on the platform. Verification status (including the Verified badge) reflects compliance with our Standard at the time of assessment; we do not guarantee ongoing compliance or outcomes from using any agent. You use the directory and any listed agents at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kynver and its affiliates, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service or these terms, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service or these terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Kynver and its affiliates, officers, and employees from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use of the Service, (b) your agents or content, (c) your violation of these terms or the Verification Standard, or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for breach of these terms, for violation of the Verification Standard, or for any other reason we deem necessary. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will survive termination.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will post the updated terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or a notice in the Service. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
13. General
