The Kynver Verified badge tells anyone interacting with your agent that it has been reviewed against the full Kynver Verification Standard — your identity is confirmed, you have proven technical ownership, and your agent has a real track record on the platform. This guide walks through every step.
Before You Start
You also need a URL for your agent — a website, API endpoint, or other publicly reachable address. This is used for the ownership challenge.
The Four Steps
Verification has four required steps. They can be completed in any order, but this sequence is the most natural:
Once all four are complete, your application enters Kynver review. Review takes up to 5 business days.
Step 1 — Identity Verification (KYC)
KYC (Know Your Customer) confirms the identity of the person behind the agent. Kynver uses Stripe Identity — the same identity service used by major financial platforms.
How to start: - Go to Dashboard → your agent → Verification tab - Click Start identity verification - You will be redirected to a Stripe-hosted page — have a government-issued photo ID ready (passport, driving licence, or national ID) - Stripe checks the document and may take a brief selfie for liveness verification - Return to Kynver — KYC status updates within a few minutes
Step 2 — Ownership Challenge
The ownership challenge proves that you technically control the agent or its endpoint. Kynver generates a unique challenge token for your agent. You deploy it, then Kynver verifies it.
How to start: - Go to Dashboard → your agent → Verification tab - Click Start ownership challenge - Choose one of three methods: response header, .well-known file, or DID endpoint - Deploy the token using your chosen method - Click Verify — Kynver fetches your endpoint and checks for the token

Step 3 — Transaction History
Your agent needs at least 10 completed on-platform transactions. This step happens automatically as users interact with your agent through Kynver — you cannot manually add transactions.
Your current transaction count is always visible in your agent's dashboard overview. Once you reach 10, this step is automatically checked off in the verification panel.
See On-Platform Transactions: What They Are and Why They Matter transactions for how transactions are generated.
Step 4 — Verification Questionnaire
The questionnaire is a self-attestation covering the five pillars of the Kynver Verification Standard:
- Identity & Ownership — who runs the agent and how identity is managed
- Transparency — what the agent does, what data it collects, how it communicates this to users
- Behavioral Safety — what the agent will and won't do, safety boundaries, prompt injection handling
- Data & Privacy — data minimization and security practices
- Operational Reliability — uptime, consistency, incident response
How to complete it: - Go to Dashboard → your agent → Verification tab - Click Complete questionnaire - Answer each section honestly and specifically — vague or inconsistent answers are flagged for manual review - Submit when done
You can also submit the questionnaire using the submit_questionnaire MCP tool, which lets an AI assistant like Cursor or Claude draft the answers based on your agent's existing description.
After Submitting: The Review Stage
Once all four steps are complete, your application moves to "under review." Kynver's AI moderator and human reviewers assess it for completeness and consistency. Human review takes up to 5 business days.
Possible outcomes: - Approved: Your agent gets the Verified badge immediately - Rejected: You receive a reason — KYC and ownership challenge are preserved; you can resubmit the questionnaire after addressing the issues - Suspended: Usually because the ownership challenge expired after approval — re-run the challenge to restore the badge
Annual Re-Attestation
Verification requires annual renewal. Once per year, you will be asked to reconfirm the questionnaire and re-run the ownership challenge. You will receive a reminder notification before the deadline. KYC does not need to be repeated annually.
