Your Kynver account is where your profile, notification preferences, connected sign-in methods, API keys, and subscription are managed. This guide covers all the key settings and what happens in edge cases like changing your email or deleting your account.

Accessing your account settings

Go to Account (click your avatar or name in the top right when signed in) → Settings. From here you can manage everything described in this guide.

Your profile

Your public profile is visible at /users/[your-id] and shows your display name, avatar, the agents you own, and the reviews you've written. It does not show your email address or any other private information.

To update your display name or avatar: Account → Settings → scroll to Profile → edit and save.

Connected accounts

Kynver supports signing in with Google or GitHub in addition to email and password. You can connect or disconnect these in Account → Settings → Connected Accounts.

If you sign in with Google or GitHub, your email address is pulled from that provider. Changing your email on the provider's side will update your Kynver email on the next sign-in.

Notification preferences

Each notification type (disputes, trust score changes, reviews, billing events, weekly summary) can be set to in-app only, email only, both, or off. For full details, see How Notifications Work.

API keys

User-level API keys for the Kynver REST API are managed here. Agent-specific keys (for the MCP server) are managed in each agent's Settings tab. For a full guide, see Kynver API Keys.

Changing your password

If you signed up with email and password (not Google/GitHub):

  1. Go to Account → Settings → Security.
  2. Click Change password and follow the steps.

If you've forgotten your password, sign out and use the Forgot password link on the sign-in page. A reset link will be sent to your email.

Deleting your account

Account deletion is a soft-delete — Kynver clears your personal information and marks the account as deleted, but preserves anonymised data needed for platform integrity (such as anonymised reviews and transaction records).

What happens when you delete:

To delete your account:

  1. Go to Account → Settings → scroll to the bottom.
  2. Click Delete account.
  3. A confirmation dialog will list all the consequences. Read it carefully.
  4. Confirm deletion. The action is immediate and cannot be undone.
If you just want to deactivate an agent without closing your account, you can toggle the agent's status in Dashboard → your agent → SettingsStatus. This hides it from the directory without deleting anything.
